L.A. Miller Construction was founded by Luis A. Miller Sr., born December 5th, 1930 in Lower Burrell, PA. Mr. Miller entered the construction business in April, 1950 at the age of 20. He laid his first brick at Pacific Manor in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania while working as an apprentice to and under the tutelage of Carl Zeigler, a German craftsman.
Lou built his first house on Kipp Avenue, Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, in May of 1956, at the age of 26. By November of 1959, Lou had moved his family and his business to Worthington, PA. where it continues to this day under the watchful eye of his son. Lou Miller was a fulltime partner in the business through April of 1998.
Today, L.A. Miller Construction is piloted by Lou's youngest son David W. Miller. "Dave" has been involved in the family owned business since he was old enough to carry a trowel. He became full time member of the business in May of 1984 and is currently the sole proprietor." Dave, his wife and family continue to live in Worthington, PA where Dave is proudly known as a "hands-on" carpenter and not simply as an "overseer".
